The SSC project enters the next stage with three focused need analyses:
1. Mapping Institutional Expertise – creating a clear overview of each partner school’s specialized knowledge and teaching practices in sustainable construction to support best practice sharing.
2. Assessing Student Knowledge & Mindset – gathering insights into students’ understanding and attitudes towards sustainability to guide tailored learning activities.
3. Industry Alignment – identifying construction companies’ sustainability practices and skill requirements to better connect school-based training with workplace needs.
Kick-off Meeting at Mercantec Marks the Start of the SSC Project

The SSC project officially began with a two-day kick-off meeting held at Mercantec, Viborg, on October 29-30, 2025. Representatives from all partner schools, including Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia, the Netherlands, and Belgium, gathered to present their institutions and align project goals for the coming years.
During the sessions, participants discussed key work packages, including the upcoming need analyses, student competitions, and the development of a joint micro-credential course.
The meeting also set the timeline for future international gatherings and established a shared SSC LinkedIn profile to strengthen communication and collaboration across all partners.
